REVIEW : BFG : SNAKE CORPS : BERLIN

‘DEFINITELY ONE IF NOT THE BEST CONCERT THIS YEAR’

CYBERPAGEN REVIEW : BFG : SLAUGHTERHOUSE : BERLIN

TRANSLATED

On 14th October 2016 a special concert took place in Berlin under the name “COLD BEAT BERLIN”: for the first time in almost 30 years BFG entered again a stage! As support, the equally legendary THE SNAKE CORPS were invited, who had their last concert in Germany 5 years ago on the same stage: THE SNAKE CORPS, which emerged from the remnants of the newly released SAD LOVERS AND GIANTS in 1984, played an impressive best-of set with some new titles such as “The Ocean Calls” and were able to convince the audience – Vorband “was not present here as a gap filler. This was followed by BFG. Reunion gigs have often been wrong, but this performance certainly did not belong to this category! Remarkable also, that the first gig in Germany and not in England took place. What followed was a bombastic comeback with brilliant sound (thanks at this point to Ragnar) – 3 guitars (!) Give a wonderful sound wall! For the first time ever, the 1988 album “Blue” was performed live, with older songs like “Higher Than Heaven Is” or the grandiose “Amelia”. Let us hope that it will not be a short comeback, but will soon follow more! The evening was rounded off by a great party with music from the tidy with DJs Thomas Thyssen, Jakob (who launched the whole action) and Marco Kirste. Conclusion: Definitv one, if not the best concert of this year. Top!

ORIGINAL

Top!
